Meet the Co-founder and Broker Owner of the first Real Estate Franchise in Costa Rica (1995) - RE/MAX First Realty. In the early 90s, the practice of real estate development in Costa Rica, as an industry, was largely unregulated and lacking professionalism. There were no international brands and standardized business practices. Recognizing a unique opportunity, We established the first RE/MAX franchise in the country, with a goal to introduce innovative real estate solutions and high-quality service.
Establishing a Strong Foundation
As pioneers, we faced the challenge of working hard to gain recognition within the local market. Our mission extended beyond providing professional, dependable service to members of the public but additionally training of real estate professionals and support for agents; it also involved educating the community about the RE/MAX brand and it's advantages. We focused on building a strong foundation for the real estate industry by empowering agents, giving them the training, tools and knowledge needed to excel. Through comprehensive training programs, we cultivated a new generation of real estate professionals well-versed in modern sales techniques, marketing strategies, and customer service excellence. Our aim was to minimize misrepresentation, whether it was innocent or fraudulent so the public could rely on this information.

As Commercial Director for a major developer in San José, I led the sales and marketing efforts for three high-profile condominium projects, successfully navigating the complexities of the local property market. This hands-on experience in property development and sales inspired me to establish my own real estate consultancy, where I worked closely with clients to meet their unique needs, before eventually joining the RE/MAX family.
